Hello, my name is Jennifer Lee Dawson. I am a dreamer.
I’ve made dreaming and inspiring others my life’s work. I’m a communications, and on-camera professional with a master’s degree in education from Griffith University, Australia. I currently live in Toronto, Canada’s largest city.
I grew up in the small village of Brigden, Ontario, Canada, population 500 on my family’s farm. I have six siblings; there are three boys and three girls in the family. My parents have a family business, St. Clair Mechanical in which all my other siblings work.
I was a Prima Ballerina for twelve years and also taught dance in my local studio throughout my adolescence. I am proud to have the grace and poise of a ballerina.
In university I was heavily involved in charitable causes and fundraising. As an executive member of Sorority Alpha Omega I spent my fourth year as a Don, mentoring first years students and organizing events. I was also an aerobics instructor at my university athletic complex, leading classes and motivating students.
Helping others is second nature to me, and always will be. Being the eldest of six children in a loving family I have always helped my brothers and sisters and I think this was a gift that shaped my character.
During my schooling in Australia I completed my first half Marathon on the Gold Coast. Since I have completed ten full marathons, including the New York City Marathon.
I was Miss Canada runner-up 2009, and won the Miss Canada Photogenic title. I later was selected as Miss Canada, in the Beauty Of The World Pageant and toured China with fifty other women from across the world.
I have a passion for writing and promoting. I’ve recently taken to new media to help promote causes and am a natural face to face networker. I love on-camera work and also model and act in select roles.
My latest passion is fulfilling my role as a Cabinet Member for the National Ballet Of Canada’s fundraising body Turnout. I am responsible for sales and sponsorship, working with young arts patrons. I love organizing events around the Four Season’s Centre Of Performing Arts and am instrumental in it’s event promotions to a younger demographic.
I am ambitious and love to grow and achieve. I live my life by getting up at dawn and seeing the sun rise while the rest of the world sleeps.
